Find musicians on Weikos

In Weikos users you find musicians who use Weikos and have a public or private profile, even if they don’t work with your institution yet. You can see their profile, mark them as favourites, hide the ones you’re not interested in and write notes only your institution sees. To hire someone, you create the contract and add them to it, as explained in Hire a musician.

  1. Go to PeopleWeikos users.
  2. Type their first name, surname or stage name in Search musician....
  3. To narrow it down, open Advanced filters and filter by city, region, country, Specialty, instrument or Specialization.
  4. To see their profile, click the information icon on their row, View profile: you’ll see their specialities, where they live, their languages, websites, biography and gallery. The profile doesn’t include contact details.

Only people with a public or private profile appear. Someone with a hidden profile or without an account doesn’t: invite them to Weikos.

  • Mark: click the star on their row, Add to favorites. For several at once, select them and use ActionsAdd to favorites.
  • Priority: with the star on, click the priority button next to it and choose a number in Select priority, or No priority. In project rosters, favourites are sorted by priority, with 1 at the top. If you remove the star, the priority is lost.
  • See only favourites: turn on Favorites only.
  • By ensemble: if your institution has several ensembles, choose in View favorites for: which ensemble the favourites you mark belong to.

Favourites from the project’s ensembles appear in its roster, so you can add them to each instrument: see Prepare a project’s roster.

Click the eye on their row, Hide user, or select several and use Hide selected. They no longer appear in the list or in the musician search in contracts. To see them again, turn on Show hidden and click Show user.

Click the Add note icon on their row, write and save. Only your institution sees the note; to read it, hover over the icon.

Weikos users doesn’t create contracts. The contract is created in your institution’s contracts or in the project, and that’s where you add the person:

  1. Create the contract:
    • Permanent: go to PeopleAdministrationContracts and click Add.
    • For a project: open the project, go to Contracts and click Add. You can also go to Roster and click Add contract on the instrument.
  2. In Personal details, click Search musician..., search for the person by name and click Add to contract.
  3. Complete the contract and offer it, as explained in Offer a contract.

If they’re a favourite of one of the project’s ensembles, in the Roster they appear in the Favorites block of their instrument: click the + next to their name and the contract opens with the person already filled in.

  • You can’t find a musician. Search by their first name, surname or stage name: searching by email doesn’t find them. If they still don’t appear, they have a hidden profile or no account. Invite them to Weikos: if they already have an account with a hidden profile, they get a notice asking them to make it visible.
  • You hid someone and they no longer appear. Turn on Show hidden.
  • You don’t see the star, eye or note on the rows. You have contracts from several institutions selected at the top. Choose one in Contract.
  • The star, eye or note goes back to how it was. Your access role doesn’t allow marking favourites, hiding or writing notes. Talk to the person who manages your institution.
  • You don’t see Weikos users in the menu. Your access role doesn’t include it.

If a musician with a public or private profile doesn’t appear when you search for their name, write to us at help@weikos.io.

We will never ask you for your password or bank details by email. If you receive a message asking for them on behalf of Weikos, don’t reply and write to us at help@weikos.io.
