Show your Weikos card at the reader
Some institutions record working time with a card reader: a tablet at the entrance where each person holds up their identification card. Your Weikos card is that same card on your phone or on the web, with the same QR code as the printed one. It only appears if your institution has turned it on and has already generated yours.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Open your profile menu, top right, and click My Weikos card. There is also a button with the same name in My time tracking.
- If you have a card with several institutions, move between them with the arrows, the dots or by swiping.
- Hold the screen up to the reader’s camera.
- Open your profile menu, top right, and tap My Weikos card. The card opens from the bottom and the screen brightness goes up to the maximum so the reader can read it.
- If you have a card with several institutions, swipe to move between them.
- Hold the screen up to the reader’s camera.
- Close it with the X or by swiping down. The brightness goes back to how it was.
If your institution only records working time with the reader, in Home, on the Time tracking card, you’ll see a notice that your institution records working time with the card reader and the My Weikos card button instead of CLOCK IN. Today’s records are still there.

Save the card in your phone’s Wallet
Section titled “Save the card in your phone’s Wallet”Your institution can email you the card so you can save it in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. On the web, the buttons are also under the card, in “My Weikos card”.
- Open your institution’s email with your card on your phone.
- On iPhone, tap “Add to Apple Wallet” and then “Add”. On Android, tap “Add to Google Wallet” and then “Add”.
- To record, open the card in the Wallet and hold it up to the reader’s camera.
If your institution changes what your card shows, it updates by itself in the Wallet. If it cancels it, the Wallet marks it as not valid: ask your institution for the new one.
The first time you show the card in a day, the reader records your entry; the next time, your exit. The records appear in your time records just as if you had used the button: see Check your time records.
If it doesn’t work
Section titled “If it doesn’t work”- You don’t see “My Weikos card”. Your institution doesn’t use the card in the profile, hasn’t generated yours yet, or you no longer have a current or upcoming contract with it. You can’t generate it yourself: ask whoever manages your hiring. In the apps, also check that you have the latest version.
- You see “Your institution hasn’t generated your card yet. When it does, you’ll see it here.” Ask your institution for it.
- The reader doesn’t read the card. Turn up the screen brightness, avoid reflections and hold the phone up without covering the code. If it still doesn’t read it, tell your institution.
- The reader says the card isn’t valid. Your institution has replaced it: open “My Weikos card” again to get the new one. If nothing changes, ask your institution.
- You’ve lost your phone or the printed card. Tell your institution: it can cancel the card and give you another one.
- The card in the Wallet says “This card is no longer valid. Ask your institution for the new one.” Your institution has cancelled it. Ask it to send you the new one and save it again.
- The Apple Wallet button does nothing. Open it from your iPhone: it doesn’t work on a computer or on Android. On Android, use the Google Wallet one.
If your institution confirms it has generated your card and you can’t see it, write to us at help@weikos.io with a screenshot, the platform and, in the apps, the version.
