See your calendar in other apps

On the Weikos web you can create a private iCal link to your calendar and subscribe to it from Apple Calendar, Outlook or any compatible calendar app. The link is shown only once, so copy it and keep it when you create it. If you use Google Calendar, it’s better to sync it directly.

  1. Go to DashboardCalendar. It’s easier from a computer.
  2. In the left column, choose the calendar: My events (only the services you’re assigned to) or one of your Ensembles (all its services).
  3. Hover over its name and click the ⋮ menu, or right-click it. Click Share.
  4. In iCal link, enter a Label to recognise it later, for example “iPhone”.
  5. Click Create link. The link is copied automatically. Keep it before closing: The link will only be shown once. Copy it before closing this dialog.
  6. In your calendar app, add a subscription by URL and paste the link.

To revoke a link, go back to Share and, in Active links, click the bin and confirm with Delete link.

Anyone with the link can see this calendar. It is not password protected. Only share it with people you choose.

  • You lost the link or didn’t copy it. It can’t be shown again: create another one. Creating a new one doesn’t revoke the previous ones: if you no longer use the old one, delete it in the active links.
  • Changes don’t show in your calendar. Your calendar app decides how often it checks the link. Refresh the subscription from the app or wait. The latest is always in the Weikos calendar.
  • Reminders, colours or notes you add to events get lost. On every update the app reloads the events from scratch. Don’t add reminders or notes to these events, because they get lost.
  • You see all of the ensemble’s services, not just yours. You subscribed to the ensemble calendar. To see only yours, create the link from “My events”. If you’re subscribed to both, your services appear twice: keep one.
  • Old or far-off services are missing. The link covers from 1 January this year to 31 December next year. For the rest, use the Weikos calendar.
  • Leaves and tasks don’t appear. The link only includes services.
  • Your subscribed calendar is empty. When you no longer have current contracts, the link still works but brings no services. If the institution gives you a new contract, they appear again without creating another link.
  • A service that should be there is missing. The link shows the same as your Weikos calendar: see Find a service or project.

If your calendar app can’t subscribe to a newly created link and you have a current contract, write to us at help@weikos.io with the app you use, a screenshot of the error and your institution.

We will never ask you for your password or bank details by email. If you receive a message asking for them on behalf of Weikos, don’t reply and write to us at help@weikos.io.
