Choose the default values for new contracts
Each new contract starts with values your institution chooses in advance: the contract type, the artistic category, the working days, the access role and the job position. That way you don’t have to set them one by one, and they can always be changed in each contract. They’re chosen in Settings › General settings › Preferences › Contract Preferences, and they only apply to contracts created afterwards.
General values
Section titled “General values”- Go to Contract Preferences. If you have several contracts, first choose one from your institution at the top, in Contract.
- In Default values when creating contracts, choose the Default contract type: the one for contracts whose specialty doesn’t have its own. With None (use system default), it’s General.
- Choose the Default artistic category. It’s only set on musician contracts. A deactivated category is marked as such and isn’t applied.
- Click the Default working days to choose the days and whether people work on holidays. If you don’t change them, they’re Monday to Friday.
Changes are saved automatically.
By specialty
Section titled “By specialty”In By specialty each specialty has its own row. What you choose there takes priority over the general values.
- In the specialty’s row, choose its Contract type, its Access role and its Job position.
- Below, click its Working days if that specialty works on other days.
- If your role can mark contracts as restricted, turn on Starts as restricted for the specialties whose contracts should start restricted. Conductor, soloist, teacher, composer, soloist ensemble and collaborating ensemble come marked.
Whatever you don’t choose shows as Default: … or Weikos default: …. If you choose a role or a job position that is later deactivated, the Weikos one applies. What a restricted contract is is explained in Manage access roles.
Deadline to respond to offers
Section titled “Deadline to respond to offers”In the Deadline to respond to offers card you choose No deadline or With deadline and the days. Below it you see until which day an offer sent today could be answered. Each ensemble can use this deadline, have none or have its own, in Ensembles. How it works on each contract is explained in Offer a contract.
What a new contract starts with
Section titled “What a new contract starts with”- Contract type: its specialty’s or, if it has none, the Default contract type. The type brings the time tracking set for it in Default presence control.
- Working days: its ensemble’s; if it has none, its specialty’s; and if not, the Default working days.
- Access role and job position: its specialty’s or, if you don’t choose them, Weikos’s. For specialties where Weikos doesn’t suggest a job position, it’s chosen in each contract.
- Artistic category: the Default artistic category, only on musician contracts.
If it doesn’t work
Section titled “If it doesn’t work”- You’ve changed a value and existing contracts are the same. That’s how it works: default values only apply when the contract is created. For existing ones, change it in each contract.
- A new contract doesn’t get the general type you chose. Its specialty has its own type in By specialty, which takes priority over the general one.
- A new contract doesn’t get the days you chose. Its ensemble has its own working days, which come first.
- The artistic category isn’t set. It only applies to musician contracts, and not if the category is deactivated.
- You don’t see Starts as restricted. Only people who can mark contracts as restricted see it.
- The page opens with Your role lets you see these settings, but not change them.. Your access role can see contract preferences but not change them. Talk to the person who manages your institution.
- Choose a contract to see and change this configuration appears. You have All selected at the top. Choose a specific contract in Contract.
If you’ve saved a value with a single contract selected and contracts created afterwards don’t take it, write to us at help@weikos.io with a screenshot, your institution’s name and the value you changed.
We will never ask you for your password or bank details by email. If you receive a message asking for them on behalf of Weikos, don’t reply and write to us at help@weikos.io.
