Get started with Weikos
Weikos is your space as a musician. Your profile is your calling card so institutions can find you and offer you contracts. When you work with them, your contracts, calendar, sheet music, leave and documents are there too. You can use it on the web, on iPhone and on Android with the same account.
At the start
Section titled “At the start”-
Create your account with whichever email you like and confirm it with the link you receive. See Create your account.
-
Complete your profile, starting with your speciality and your instrument. It’s the most important thing: institutions search for musicians on Weikos by instrument, and if you don’t add yours you won’t appear when they search for it. You can add several specialities. Then add where you live, your languages, your photo and your biography. See Your public profile.
-
Decide who can find you. In your profile’s visibility:
- Public: you appear in institutions’ searches and your link shows your profile to anyone.
- Private: you appear in institutions’ searches, but your link doesn’t show your profile. Your account starts with this option.
- Hidden: you don’t appear in searches. Only institutions you already have a contract with can see you.
With public or private, institutions can find you and offer you contracts. See Manage your account.
-
Fill in your personal details: identity, contact and bank details. They’re the ones you’ll be asked for to be hired; if they’re already there, you’ll be able to accept a contract as soon as it arrives. See Fill in your personal details.
-
Install the app and turn on notifications. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, sign in with your account and allow notifications so you hear when you’re offered a contract or your calendar changes. See Get notifications.
If an institution has already written to you
Section titled “If an institution has already written to you”If it invited you to Weikos or offered you a contract before you had an account, sign up with the email it reached you at: that way the contract appears in your account. You can change your email whenever you like afterwards. See Respond to an invitation.
To accept the contract, follow Accept a contract. If you can’t find it, see Find your contract.
When you work with an institution
Section titled “When you work with an institution”- Your calendar: rehearsals, concerts and other services in your projects. If something is missing, see Find a service or project. You can also see it in Google Calendar or in other calendar apps.
- Your sheet music: for the projects you’re in, in Your sheet music.
- Clocking in and out: if your institution uses it, record them as explained in Clock in and out.
- Leave: ask for days off with Request a leave.
- Documents: what your institution shares with you is in Your documents.
- Several institutions: one account works with all of them; how to switch is explained in Work with several institutions.
