Get notifications
Weikos lets you know by email and, if you use the app, also with notifications on your phone. Your phone gets the notices about your contracts and your services, such as a new or changed rehearsal or concert. The rest, such as notices about your leaves, arrive only by email. Your institution decides which notices are sent.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- The web doesn’t show notifications in the browser: notices reach you by email, at your account’s email address.
- Add no-reply@weikos.io to your contacts so that notices don’t end up in your spam folder.
- Notices arrive in your account’s language. To change it, open your photo menu › Account › Language and region.
- Stay signed in to the app: if you sign out, notifications stop reaching you.
- The first time you open the app, it asks for permission to show notifications. Allow it.
- If you didn’t allow it, tap your profile icon › Settings › Notifications › Open system settings and turn notifications on.
- When you tap a notification, the right screen opens: the contract, the project or the service.
- The bell at the top shows what you have pending, such as Contract pending response. If there’s nothing pending, you’ll see No notifications.
- Sign in to the app with your email and password, or with your fingerprint.
- After you sign in, the app asks for permission to show notifications. Allow it.
- If you didn’t allow it, turn it on in your phone’s settings › Apps › Weikos › Notifications. The names may vary depending on the manufacturer.
- When you tap a notification, the right screen opens: the contract, the project or the service.
- The bell at the top shows what you have pending, such as Contract pending response. If there’s nothing pending, you’ll see No notifications.
If it doesn’t work
Section titled “If it doesn’t work”- You get the emails, but not the notifications. Check that permission is on in Settings › Notifications › Notification settings and that you’re signed in. Remember that your phone only gets notices about your contracts and your services.
- You get the emails, but not the notifications. Check in your phone’s settings that Weikos notifications are turned on. Then tap Log out and sign in again with your password or fingerprint. Remember that your phone only gets notices about your contracts and your services.
- You weren’t told about a change to a service or to your contract. Your institution decides which notices are sent, and notices about services and contract changes are off until it turns them on. Also, the person making the change can choose not to notify. Ask the person who handles your hiring.
- You want to stop receiving emails. Emails can’t be turned off: they are how your institution tells you about your contract, your services and your leaves. Phone notifications can be turned off in your phone’s settings.
- Notices reach you in another language. They arrive in your account’s language. Change it as explained in Manage your account.
- You’re looking for an old notice in the bell. The bell only shows what you have pending: it doesn’t keep the notices you’ve already received.
