Fix problems with the app
These steps almost always fix it, in this order: check your connection, update the app, refresh and, if nothing changes, sign out and sign in again. The app needs the internet to load and save: it has no offline mode.
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Check that you’re connected and reload the page.
- If you see Your session has expired. Please sign in again. sign in again with your email and password.
- If nothing changes, open the menu under your photo or initials › Log out and sign in again.
- Check your connection. If there isn’t one, when you sign in you’ll see Could not connect to the server. Check your internet connection.
- If Update required appears, tap Update and install the new version from the App Store. If it doesn’t appear, check in the App Store anyway that you have the latest one.
- Refresh: in “Home”, “Calendar”, “Projects” and “Sheet music”, swipe down. On the other screens, close them and open them again.
- If nothing changes, tap your profile icon at the top right › Log out and sign in again.
- If it’s slow or takes up a lot of space, go to Settings › Storage › Clear cache. You’ll see Cache cleared. Nothing is deleted from your account: the app downloads what it needs again.
- Check that you’re connected to wifi or mobile data.
- If Update required appears, tap Update and install the new version from Google Play.
You’ll see the used space go down. Nothing is deleted from your account.
You need iOS or iPadOS 17.6 or later, or Android 9 or later. If you don’t have the app, download it from the App Store or Google Play.
If it doesn’t work
Section titled “If it doesn’t work”- Nothing loads or you get an error when saving. It’s almost always the connection: the apps don’t save anything without the internet, and what you see may be the last thing that loaded. Connect to wifi or mobile data and refresh.
- “Update required” doesn’t go away. Install the update from the store and open the app again. If the store doesn’t offer one, check that your phone meets the minimum. If it doesn’t, use Weikos in your browser at app.weikos.io.
- You don’t see the changes your institution made. Refresh. If it still doesn’t appear, see Find a service or project.
- The app signs you out or asks for your password again. Your session expires after 10 days without using Weikos and, at most, after 45 days. Nothing is lost: sign in again. If you don’t remember your password, see Get back into your account.
- A link in an email opens in the browser. Links to confirm your email, change your email or create a new password always open in the browser: that’s normal. If another link doesn’t take you to the content, find it from the app’s menu.
- You want to use the app offline. It isn’t possible: connect to the venue’s wifi or use mobile data. Clocking in or out without a connection isn’t saved: once you’re connected, check today’s records and clock again if it’s missing.
- The app closes when you open a screen. Update the app, close it completely and open it again.
If you’ve followed the steps in order and the problem continues, write to us at help@weikos.io with: whether you use iPhone or Android, the app version (shown at the bottom of the settings), your phone model, your institution, what you were trying to do and a screenshot without personal data.
We will never ask you for your password or bank details by email. If you receive a message asking for them on behalf of Weikos, don’t reply and write to us at help@weikos.io.
