Accept a contract

Contracts sent by your institution are accepted in Weikos. There is no electronic signature yet: accepting in Weikos is your answer to the contract.

If your institution sets a deadline to respond, you’ll see the day and time you have until in the invitation email, in the offer (on the web and in the app) and, in the app, also in «My contracts» and in the bell notifications, as «Until …» or, on the last day, «Due today». If you don’t respond in time, the invitation is rejected and can no longer be accepted; you can add the reason and, if you’re still interested, get in touch with the institution.

  1. In the menu, go to My Weikos › My contracts. Pending contracts show a red number.
  2. Open the contract marked Pending.
  3. Under Personal details, if your institution asks for them, choose Phone and Bank account.
  4. Under Representative, choose On my own behalf or the person who signs for you.
  5. If you see Missing personal data: …, click Complete data.
  6. Fill in what is missing and click Save and return to contract.
  7. If you see Pending requirements: …, click View requirements.
  8. Open each requirement and click Upload document or Send for verification.
  9. Click Accept contract.
  10. Confirm with Confirm.

Once you confirm, the contract is accepted.

Accepting a contract on the web

In each contract, Hiring requirements shows the requirements your institution asks of you and how they’re going. You only see the ones your institution lets you see.

  1. Open the contract from My Weikos › My contracts.
  2. In the Hiring requirements card you see how many you’ve completed, a progress bar and a coloured box for each requirement.
  3. Hover over a requirement to see its status. Click it to open it and hand it in.

Each requirement has one of these statuses:

  • Pending: you haven’t handed it in yet.
  • Document uploaded: you’ve uploaded the document. If the requirement asks for it, you still have to send it for verification.
  • Pending verification: you’ve handed it in and your institution is reviewing it.
  • Completed: your institution has accepted it. Hover over it to see how long it’s valid, if it expires.
  • Expired: its date has passed and it has to be renewed.
  • Exempt: your institution doesn’t ask you for it.

A requirement you’ve handed in that is waiting for your institution’s review no longer stops you from accepting the contract. When your institution verifies it, sends it back to pending or it expires, you don’t get any notification: check the contract or ask the person who handles your hiring.

  • Accept contract is greyed out. Read the messages next to the button: they tell you which detail or requirement is missing.
  • It asks for details you don’t have. Your institution decides them: ask the person who handles your hiring.
  • You can’t see Accept contract. The contract is no longer pending, because you accepted it, rejected it or it has ended, or it isn’t yours.
  • An error appears when you accept. Reload the page: the contract will tell you what is missing.
  • The requirements counter doesn’t reach the total even though you’ve handed everything in. It only counts the ones your institution has marked as completed. Those waiting for review don’t add up, but they no longer stop you from accepting.
  • A requirement shows Expired. It’s valid for the whole day it expires and becomes expired the next day. Open it and hand it in again.
  • You want to change the terms or the dates. They can’t be changed from your side: talk to your institution, or click Reject contract and explain why (Reject a contract).

If it still doesn’t work, write to us at help@weikos.io with a screenshot of the message.

This section is for people who manage hiring on the web.
